with all the leaks, (and since the beginning) i dont expect that biometric sensor on any iDevice yet, maybe on imac or the iWatch(and i dont thinks it will be real yet.)

Considering Apple bought AuthenTec last August and there was and still is code for the sensor in the iOS 7 betas, I'd say it's pretty likely.

but nothing has leaked and we have a lot of images and cases, and there is nothing.. only a folder in beta 3 or 4 and thats it.

Any educated person should know that its to early for an biometric sensor in 2013.

So no, their won't be an biometric sensor on iPhone 5S.

P.S. Its called an fingerprint scanner, not an biometric sensor.

The folder found within the iOS 7 beta code is named "BiometricKitUI.axbundle".

No fingerprint sensor hardware leaked yet, so no reader in the new iPhone.

But I think a fingerprint reader could happen within the next two years.

Where is the thread about the home button connector being changed? I think it went from being just a button to a flex cable, which would indicate that it carries some type of data. I can't find the thread but I know I saw it.

How is this even being debated? Rumors of a fingerprint sensor in the 5S have been going around for months, plus leaked pieces of code for it as well as modified iPhone parts which allow room for it. It's crazy to assume it's been delayed a year just because this one piece of it hasn't leaked.

Plus, the only other (known) differences between the iPhone 5 and 5S are dual flash, a faster processor and a couple more color options. Apple wouldn't release an iPhone without a selling point over the previous generation device or the yet to be announced cheaper iPhone 5C.

fyi

Still it does'nt mean its called an biometric sensor.

everything what is used to read/scan parts of the body or physical characteristics (unique fingerprint) it's called biometric.

What is the point for biometric sensor? I have no possword on my phone and I have zero wish on swipe my figure everytime I check my text message.

It can be used for more than password lock, connected with passbook to buy stuff using your fingerprint as verification

I read on 9to5mac that it's likely to only be used for unlocking the device at first with payments and such coming later.

If you don't use a feature don't worry about it. It's simply another way to "enter credentials". Many folks have passwords on their phone by choice or forced upon them by company policy.

Did you see leaked flex of iphone 5s? His flex goes up and its long thats qhy the shield it is little diferent,

More pins buddy, the old one was a simple switch with two leads if I remember correctly, the new one appears to have at least 4.

This senario reminds me of the debate over whether NFC was in the iPhone5, which as we all know never came to fruition. Evidence of a FP scanner is limited and not even one solid leak to confirm.
