Lets catch those teams in front of us in folding! I want to pass those Dutch Power Cows soo bad. I remember when they passed us I was so mad, but know we will catch them in 3.6 months! We will pass SilentPCReview Folding@Home even faster, only 1.3 months. But we need to keep this output up! Come on guys we need more power. We need more people folding! I want to pass the Dutch Power Cows really bad so lets catch them fast!😀 Good job guys lets keep it up!
 
I'm working on it. I've got a dual g5 running 24/7. I'm folding under the name RyanLSE.
 
My Dual 2.3GHz Power Mac G5 is folding (as it is always) as we speak. 🙂

Now I know what I am going to Say is hard to believe but I am a newbie at things like Folding, so What is it, and is it like a P2P application, and what is it used for... Also can I help?

http://folding.stanford.edu/ Its a little application that uses your extra CPU when you are not using it. So it does not slow down your normal Computer use but it puts that CPU power to use for a good cause. Also this is helpful: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/21908/

there are many folding teams, but none better than 3446! join in the fun.

installed f@h on anything that had a network plug and blinking lights here. was eyeing the pda.... 🙄

been fun watching the numbers of the next two teams coming down bit by bit....

as i have said before, loud fans make computers go faster! 😱

Seems like we won't be catching the Dutch Power Cows for a while now, they are outproducing us again...
But only 22 days till we have cought up with Silent PC Review. Common Guys, let's go for it!!
 
Just put a Quad and a PB 1.67 online today. I'll do what I can.

The PM has a HUGE protein right now - up to 70 frames.

i would give you some of the credit, but i have to pay the electric bill....so think i'll keep the points 😉
 
its too bad i don't work at the local university anymore. I would of so gone and installed folding at home on all the computers in the labs.

This would have helped out a lot i think, especially since we left those things run 24/7.

What's the largest protein anyone's folded? I have on almost at 90 frames. :-o

I have my Dual G5 running it full time as well as one of our work servers, but that one is going to be turned off soon. 🙁
 
Dual G5 folding here. Hopefully we will gain some ground when Mac Pro is out 😉

I´m curious; has anyone any statistics on how much energy is being used world-wide on folding?

We can only speculate: the number of computers times the normal powersupply times the average uptime of a computer.
