Is it me or does a thread just like this get started every couple of months?

Of course. I had a similar problem on day 1 and brought it back to the store for a replacement.

The gradient is there

I took my week old 24" back the the Apple Store this weekend. Got a replacement and checked it in the store. It was worse! At first the manager thought I was Nuts until I showed him the blue and white screen test. We checked every floor display and even he was shocked. THEY ALL HAD ISSUES!! However, the average user would never notice without looking for it. I'm not sure what to do. I think I'm going to just deal with it!

My 20" iMac doesn't have screen problems and has colours that are vibrant as a Cinema Display. I am happy with my iMac. 🙂

I`m starting to question how many of these " no problems" clickers were users who dont notice their screen problems...When you read this forum and others It seems like the problem is in majority of the screens. I`m getting mine by fedex at the end of this week. I have a feeling i`m going to have to have it exchanged since it seems like everyone who got one lately has the same issue, gradient and backlight bleeding..

Yes. The Mac Genius fired up the iMac in the back-room after the RAM upgrade, so he checked the screen at the same time.

Those who click "no problems" did you guys check it for all the issues or you're just clicking "no problems" because you dont notice anything.

I certainly could, but I went with the other route for the first time.

and this is y i made this post because most users dont have this problem
