I have been limping along with my macbook for so long! I was really hoping to replace it this month
Not to mention I took a sledge hammer to my home pc last week. Please mini please. Don't they update these stupid little teeny-bopper devices enough in a year? Yeah I use the ipod on my iphone, but I need business level devices!
& dont get me started on Leopard Server, erg!
That would certainly keep anyone from complaining that Microsoft is using a "has-been" 90's comedian in their new ad campaign - Apple using a 60's "has-been" musical group would undercut that argument!

I hope they release ipods, ipod touch updates, itunes 8, and macbooks. I have been waiting for updates to the macbook line up for almost a year. Wow I have WAY too high of hopes for tomorrow.
It will start with the usual data and congratulations to us. We own all. Followed by ipods history and BAM updates. One more thing...the NEW aluminum MACBOOK, BAM!

Another device where people want (fairly obvious) features
Again, think how Apple think. Why would they include an optical drive that lets you give the local BlockBuster money to rent/buy a movie.... (iTunes 8)
Why include a PVR to record Free-to-air when you can buy TV shows.... (iTunes 8)
Larger storage makes sense, but if you have the whole Apple experience, you have AppleTV synching with iTunes on your mac (with a large firewire disc) through an Airport Extreme/Time Machine (which contains a large disc or USB attatched disc)
One more thing... just one more thing... please.

I say no. I believe they will want to save the iTablet (or whatever it is) to wow the crowds at Macworld. Who else doesn't believe that?
you guys are forgetting a 'major' feature that could be on itunes 8. Have you not thought that wireless syncing will be the big hoohaa on the itunes side of things?
Well...THAT is an interesting interpretation of the 'product transition', but it won't affect margins.

Limping along with your Macbook? I'm limping along with my iBook G4 - yes, I've had this sucker for over 3 years which is an extremely loooong cycle for me! Haven't broken down and gotten an Intel Mac yet, although I've been extremely close a couple of times I keep holding out for the next revision and I'll probably move up to the MBP this time. The fact that I'm now using a lot of PC-only apps in my grad school computer engineering curriculum has been forcing me to do most of my homework after-hours at work so I'll be excited when the next revisions roll around in the near future.
I've held out this long, what's another month...

Actually it might. SJ's annual salary is supposedly $1, the new CEO might ask for more money.If they decrease the maximum capacity of the iPod Classic, I will eat my shirt.
Currently the largest iPod Classic is 160GB.
I would be excited if the "one more thing" was about actually fixing the bugs in 2.x. I still get slow keyboard all the time in emails/text messages. It is the most irritating bug. If 2.1 is released and some of these bugs aren't fixed, I'm gonna be disappointed no matter what else it has.
You don't need bluetooth after what we will hear in this special event. Because the big thing steve is hiding so secretly is: They integrated ultra-waves, working without wires, creating a holographic surround-sound right around your ears where nobody else can hear the sound but you. No more earplugs, no more cables.
There definitely will be a new Ipod Touch tomorrow. A Mac store here in Victoria BC (I'm a Dutch guy on holiday in Canada and can't wait to buy a Touch here in Dollar Heaven ) had a discount of 15% on all Ipods only today......
