lol fair enough...just seems like a lot of effort for such little in return. I mean is your phone going to be that much better with a flawless white?

I actually find my 3GS to be cooler than my 3G was....

Get your freak on.....

Hi, new here so go easy on me.

I have one of the week 27 phones and factory 88. At first I had the yellow screen in two tones more yellow at the bottom I have done a restore and now the screen is one shade of yellow.

I wasn't happy so made an app with the genius bar, he got his phone out and compared the two side by side, and his phone was blue in comparison. So he got 4 more members of staff so 6 phones to compare, there was one screen blue and washed out, 3 yellow and 2 blue. He also said that they were all within manufacturing tolerances.

But in comparison the yellow tint on the 3 phones were a lot brighter and more vivid in colour compared to the 2 blue and 1 washed out one. I also compared to the display models and still the yellow tint on my phone was noticeable to the cold blue but again the colours on my phone are far better.

The conclusion is I now like my yellow tint and vivid colours but the genius bar said if it gets worse he would change it, so at the moment I’m just seeing how it pans out.

Has anyone else noticed the colours are better on the yellow tint screen?

Yes, the colors are better. I had a week 25 phone. It was cooler, but the colors were washed out and it looked blurry/hazy. Not crisp. I went and exchanged my phone at Best Buy (for the final time) today. I checked to make sure, it is a week 28 phone. The screen is warmer, but not yellow. The colors are also vibrant and the screen is crisp and clear. So, that's it for me. Hopefully Apple will release a firmware that will include a cooler color profile for the screen. Until then/if not, I am done trying. I am happy with what I have now. Much better than my previous phone.

Are people still having this problem? I bought my 3gs yesterday and it feels like the screen isn't as bright and definitely looks yellow compared to my old iphone. It could just be in my head maybe
