Leveling volume when transferring music to usb

I have read many posts about moving music but most were from or to iPhone. I am wanting to transfer music from my mac pro to the usb drive. I have been transferring from finder to drive, but the music is either too loud or not loud enough. How can I level the volume of the music before the transfer? I have read about garage band but that program is too much for dumbie me. Is there any easy way or do I have to drive down the road adjusting each song that plays? Thanks in advance for any help you might can give me.

Thanks to those you viewed. Wish one could have helped, but I broke out my 10yr old windows pc and transferred normalized music. Oh well.
