I have an LG 27UP600 monitor that I normally use with my 5,1 Mac Pro, but decided to test it with my M1 MBA. I hooked it up, and it connects just fine; however, I'm noticing I can only get 30 Hz out of it, compared to 60 Hz on the Mac Pro. It's connected via HDMI to a USB-C hub. Maybe the hub only supports 4K at 30 Hz? I have no idea. Any ideas why, or how to get 60 Hz like I do on the 5,1?

Was having the same problem and just figured it out. You just have to go into the monitor's built in settings and turn on freesync!

@shammin5169 I tried turning on FreeSync and no dice—still stuck at 30 Hz. I also noticed there's no HDR control in System Settings like there should be... At this point, I'm guessing it's an issue with the hub I'm using.
