I'm having troubles under Windows 11 25H2 (Workstation version) with the LG 32U990 6K screens, they will not connect via the W6800X MPX Thunderbolt ports (or any on the computer).

Only via HDMI does it work and there it runs at only 4K resolution. Any tricks to making it work?

On MacOS no issues, both the two 6K screens connect. I've been trying everything and no solutions. My Google searches also turned up nothing.

I ran the bootcamp driver install again and no difference.

If I connect Apple Studio Display with the same cable it connects immediately. When the LG is connected, it behaves only as a USB hub.

These LG screens have been very troublesome.

I have uninstalled the bootcamp drivers. I reinstalled them again. I don't know what else I'm supposed to do here. it's maddening.

Apple Studio display 5K connects immediately, no issues.

My only option is to try and reach out to LG now and get rid of these damn displays.

Might worth trying a proper USBC > Displayport adapter (if display supports it)?
It does have displayport. Do you have any adaptors you can recommend? I am connecting them to the W6800X MPX module.

These two are driving me mad. I just fired off a frustrated email to LG in Australia because I'm so annoyed with them. These were expensive screens too.

Honestly I'd happily have these things go back, get my money back and go back down to 27" 5K Apple Studio Displays (a pair of them). At least those are proper quality.

You might have to try a few cables to get this right. Did a quick search and came up with these (Amazon seems easiest so if it doesn't work you can return/get a refund)

It definitely looks like you'll need DP2.1.

No guarantees either will work, tbh.

I'm running 3 DP displays on these plugged into MPX, and they're rock solid (plus next day delivery in Australia);

This should work since its DP2.1

Update: I used the normal restart method from macOS to get into windows and one of the screens did properly connect with 6K resolution.

Then I went back to macOS and did the same thing again, not working. Sigh.

The cables I’m using are the supplied LG ones.

I have just ordered one of those adapters just to see how it works, they are not expensive.

But if I can get LG to take back the screens instead I’ll do that. I like the 6K resolution but not all the other quibbles.

I do not know why someone added a resolved tag to this, it was absolutely not resolved and the issue still exists. So I’ve changed that back.

I’m going to try and work this out on my own.
