So these are just now starting to hit. Reddit has sporadic posts from people getting theirs. Not a ton of organized conversation around it yet. Hoping to get that going here, especially wrt how text looks at the various HiDPI resolutions.

Debating on whether to order to replace my older LG 5k2k.

It's the same resolution as all the other 39/40" widescreens out there. If it's not for you, please move on. Plenty of threads on these screens with tons of users who manage to get by.
