I really want the 4K, but it doesn't look like there's any way to use it with another monitor and still have a single cable unless I'm missing something. It would be too much bandwidth for the USB C, no? The 4K doesn't have thunderbolt.

If this is indeed not a glitch, I might actually get one before years end. I have been contemplating getting the 5K for my upcoming MBP 15" 2016 sometime next year, but this deal is super sweet. Money is tight though!

I always had a weak spot for that 5K display in the iMac working from a Windows desktop.

The 4k also doesn't have a webcam. If you do videoconferencing at all and need a display like this, it's back to the old days of connecting a giant, unsightly webcam to the top of the display. Progress, indeed.

does anyone know if i can use either on of these displays as a dual monitor with my late 2015 Retina Imac?

True. I have one on order for my 2016 MBP. I video conference at least 2-3 times per day for 30-60 min each. I have a stand for my Mac laptops that elevates it. I used the MBP (right now with my TB monitor) with the it's built in camera but wanted 4k for sure. I tested it out and have swapped back and forth between the TB camera and the MBP's built in camera. I think I'll just keep the MBP open and use it's camera at an angle. I do have an external cam if needed.

Maybe sometime they'll have a matching P3 complaint 4k monitor with a built in web-cam and then I can use the dual 4k's with the 13" MBP.

Has anyone seen these in stock at a store. If you call apple they will do a stock check and say there are none and help you place a online order. As I learned with the MacBooks, sometimes there is stock in store that only in-store employees can check with one of their POS iPhones.

Has anyone walked into a store and bought an UltraFine display? If I recall, a guy in the UK did.

I did. Went to my local store, hoping to see one on display. They didn't have any out, but the guy told me they had a couple in the back that had just come in, so I bought one of them.

Edit: this was a 4K.
