LG 5K volume settings - fix?

Is there a fix for the LG 5K monitor's funky volume controls? One notch is too soft, but, two notches is SUPER LOUD.

I've been resorting to setting the volume with shift-option-vol up/down to get 1/4 point changes to the volume. Super annoying though.

Anyone hear of a way to fix this for good?

not until Apple releases an os update. in the mean time, you can use external speakers.
