i just wanted to throw this out there for those who are out there looking to try android and want something cheap. While new they are a bit expensive, they are constantly available used for 1/4 of the price and for their features they are great little tablets. I’ve purchased this tablet for $80 with a case and in brand new condition.

We have two LG G Pad III’s and one G Pad IV at our place. Both tablets come with a laminated 1080p IPS screen that’s 8”, colours and viewing angles are very good. Performance for this tablet is very acceptable with an octacore snapdragon processor.

What separates the 4th gen from the 3rd is the updated storage at 32gb vs 16gb and the storage speed of it is about double which definitely helps make this tablet a lot more snappy opening and running apps. The tablet is thinner and lighter but at a cost of the battery being significantly smaller at 3000 mah vs 4800. The difference wasn’t nearly as noticeable as I thought because they are using a much less power hungry cpu (snapdragon 435 now instead of the 617). While it’s slightly lower clocked, the faster storage and updated gpu actually makes this tablet faster than the last gen and more power efficient.

Now there are a few trade offs that I wasn’t thrilled about but these lost features aren’t available on almost any other tablets anyways. The 3rd gen comes with an ir blaster and a full size USB on top to transfer files, both of those aren’t present on the 4th gen BUT, the 4th gen has an optional boom box speaker attachment you can purchase that includes a full size USB, dual speakers and a built in battery.

At the end of the day, for the dirt cheap price these can be had for, they are a great little tablet. Octacore processor, 1080p screen, 2gb of ram and 32gb of on-board storage with expandable micro Sd while running android 7.1. They a perfect tablet for an e-reader, multimedia and some light games. The kids play tons of little games on them and they run great, minecraft being the biggest one they run and it runs very smoothly.

If you’re looking for a cheap tablet, i would definitely look through Craigslist, eBay or other listings for one of these, if you can get them for under $100, it’s a great buy. Compared to the galaxy tab a, it’s a step above in almost all aspects

It’s a shame this tablet doesn’t get more recognition, compared to devices like the galaxy tab a, they are similarly priced but this one is one step above in almost all aspects. Yet you try to look up reviews for it and they basically don’t exist

Yup, full 1080p screen on it. Bet it would work great for that. It’s super lights as well, under 300g, very easy to hold for an e reader.

Like I said, a very under rated tablet for someone wanting to test the android waters
[doublepost=1552494423][/doublepost]The other nice bonus is they are LTE capable tablets as well which is great for road trips if you want to stream a show or movie
