Played around with it in a store today, and for some reason I don't like the look and feel of it, it's like one of those cheap Alcatel phones....

Cancelled my pre-order still being in the shop...

I think you're the only person who describes the LG G4 as 'cheap'. Lol.

It does have a plastic feel to it. But some of my favorite phones have been plastic. I don't mind plastic. I have my pre order coming in 2 days. I will wait to see how this phone performs before making any judgements.

I like plastic, as I still use a G2, and I really wanted to like the G4, but hmmm just don't like it, maybe because of it's thicker bezels and it's more rectangular shape, really don't know...
Hopefully I get used to it, because it's a good phone for sure, very fluid, and the display was stunning!

No worries man...i know you just wanted to get out of writing a review! :)

Can you comment on the browsing experience (especially how smooth or laggy scrolling is) on both phones? I went to check out the S6 at my local T-mobile store the other day and I was pretty disappointed in the browser UI performance in both Chrome and the stock browser compared to my Nexus 5. What has your experience been with the G4 vs the S6?

Also as someone on T-mobile do you notice signal strength being significantly better on either phone?

Thanks in advance!

For me the browser experience has been similar on both and they are both very fast. They get do hung up from time to time (just like my iPhone) on certain websites but I have zero complaints. If I had to give the edge to one, it would be to the G4. It stutters slightly less in Chrome than my S6 in my opinion. Just as fast as my Nexus 5 or faster. Overall this phone is fast and responsive. It's never once felt slow or laggy. It does what I want, when I want, how I want.

I think my signal strength is similar on both phones however I am noticing on my LG that I am not getting crystal clear VoLTE calls like I do on my S6 and iPhone 6 Plus. Not sure why but I'm trying to figure it out and so far it's the only real negative to this phone.

Did you see the leather or plastic? To me neither feel cheap. They feel light and thin which some equate to cheap. But to me it feels premium, especially with the leather. I plan on buying more backs once they become readily available.

Haha got me

I saw the ceramic white and the brown leather, but it isn't the back of the phone (liked them both), it's the front and the design as a whole...

Will wait for your review, than buy it the day after - voila, mission accomplished

So are you thinking of getting it? I'm confused because you said that you cancelled your pre-order.

Yes I cancelled my pre-order, but maybe if I get used to the looks of it, I may get one...

I am kind of insane if it comes to gadgets...

Going to wait a month and see how much the price drops.

In other news, this forum redesign is doing my head in, WE DON'T LIKE CHANGE!!

I highly recommend this phone. I've been going back to iPhone after all my android attempts but I think this is the one that will finally make me stay on android. It's that good.

Do you own it already, if so, how's the battery life?

Thanks for the info! Glad to hear the performance is good with the LG.

No, he isnt. Something about this new design connotes to something you'd get from Walmart with a prepaid service.

The G3 had a definite advantage when it came to the feel of materials. All around more pleasing to the eye and hand.

10 steps back from the M9, S6 and iPhone 6.

Seems like LG is flooding the market with smartphones, the Neon and Stylo etc. etc.

Did you get yours??
I got mine but had to return it. Mine was installing my apps from Google and it got really hot. The screen got almost to too hot to touch and it shutdown. I returned it and did not get another. I just really cannot get used to the buttons on the back. Loved the camera though.

The buttons do get some time to get used to. It's a great phone once you get past this, at least that's what I heard and read from a lot. Others had no issues with the buttons being on the back. Didn't you only get it on the 4th? Anyway, I'm getting mine some time this week or the next, will see how I like it :)

Well what do we have here......I couldn't help it!
