    Hello Everyone,

I did not see any thread about this upcoming LG flagship.
I will be needing another phone soon on top of my Note 4 but disappointing Note 5 makes me wonder whether this G4 Pro could be the One.
I had a thorough look here and there but was not able to find about a possible stylus?! Any reliable source about specs?
As I need SD slot and removable battery, I guess it will be G4 Pro or another Note 4 ...

Not sure from the news I've seen, only specs I've seen rumoured is it'll be made of metal and it will have a 5.8" screen, snap dragon 820 and 20.7mpx camera.
I think I saw some mention about a stylus but can't remember where. But also saw LG said it would come out this year, and Qualcomm have already stated no devices will launch this year with the 820 chip.

And yet every single rumored phone for the rest of the year are all rumored to have the 820. It's like people don't pay attention to the chipmakers these days. XD

Random people on the internet obviously have an inside track with the engineers and salespeople that the CEO Execs don't. Can't you tell? :D

Some news for you but still no info on the stylus:

Earlier this year, LG Electronics' head of Mobile Communications – Cho Jun-ho – tipped that LG will be releasing a "super-premium" handset in the second half of 2015. Not much info was given about the device, but the wording made us think of it as a shiny, pristing metal-and-glass sandwich – a construction choice that is currently quite popular among flagship devices, no small thanks to Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 edge.

Well, yesterday, at LG's Q3 executive assembly, Mr. Cho Jun-ho spoke of the mistery smartphone and said that the phone has never been described as "super premium". Fair enough, words and meanings could've been distorted through sources. Still, the director of Mobile said that the phone will be a high-class handset and will be coming in the final quarter of 2015.

Speculation and whispers suggest that the phone will be of the "phablet" kind, made to battle Samsung's Galaxy Note5 and the upcoming iPhone 6s Plus. Now, whether LG will be adding a special stylus to the phone is still up in the air. Fingers crossed – the "smart pen" niche could use some competition!

Hmmm. I do hope they really go all out and try to challenge the Note 5 though, especially as it's not even available in Europe. The market opportunity is ripe for LG.

Yeap, LG do make the Stylus range so have experience with it, if they make a nice high end tablet with a stylus and removable back and SD card and a hell of a camera, and launch in Europe then Samsung will lose a ton of sales to it.

haha, it would be a rare model now in the UK. Some news out today talked about a new LG Note trademark that's been registered in America, it is registered in other countries too, but no info on specs, just guesses.

    More info:

    http://www.phonearena.com/news/The-...ed-V10-could-have-a-secondary-display_id73387

Earlier today, we showed you an unannounced LG smartphone that was recently certified in China. We assumed that this was the rumored LG G4 Pro (or LG G4 Note), but that may actually not be true.

As @evleaks is pointing out, the new handset has a "V10" logo on the back, so this might be its final name: LG V10. According to @evleaks, the device sports a 5.7-inch Quad HD (1440 x 2560 pixels) display, and - like the LG G4 - it's powered by a six-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. Other features should include a fingerprint scanner, a 5 MP front-facing camera, 16 MP rear camera, 3 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage space, and microSD card support.

Interestingly, @evleaks has it that the new LG smartphone features a secondary display. This seems to be located at the top of the phone, above the main display and below the speaker grille, on the right side of what are probably the front-facing camera and another sensor. This auxiliary display resembles the secondary screen of the Samsung Continuum, an Android smartphone released way back in 2010 (though this had its second display located at the bottom).

The LG V10 is expected to be released sometime in October. For now, there's no word on its price, but we assume the handset won't be cheap.

More info on the device, it could have dual front screens:

    http://pocketnow.com/2015/09/04/lg-v10-rumors

First, it was allegedly called G4 Pro. Then, out of nowhere, tipsters started referring to it as the G4 Note. And now, it’s all of a sudden become the V10, in the most random naming twist since the G Vista. But you’re about to get even more confused as we remind you the LG V10 is expected to tow a curious secondary “ticker” display.

This would apparently be small enough to go unnoticed by many casual Android users, yet located just above the main, conventional screen and possibly gifted with certain mysterious software tricks, it should enrich the device interaction of power users, much like the side panel of last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

Speaking of the large primary display, that’s said to measure 5.7 inches in diagonal, and sport Quad HD resolution, i.e. 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The size increase compared to the LG G4 would thus be marginal, and the ppi actually inferior.

Forget substantial camera improvements too, says serial leaker @evleaks, with the rear 16MP sensor reportedly retained, and the selfie snapper downgraded from 8 to 5 megapixels. There might not be any upgrades prepped as far as the onboard SoC and RAM count are concerned either, with the hexa-core Snapdragon 808 and 3GB again rumored.

Likely metal-framed, but backed by plastic, the LG V10 should preserve G4’s removable cover and battery, as well as provide microSD support to expand the 64GB internal storage space.

As confirmed by LG officials a while back, this not-so-super-premium phablet will almost surely break cover next month. Specifically, on October 10, according to Korean media, which once again cites an excessively communicative company representative.

Leaked in full, LG are launching this phone tomorrow / today:

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2015/0...v10-leaks-in-full-on-the-eve-of-announcement/

For a guy who's retired from leaking, Evan @evleaks Blass sure does leak a lot of stuff. For his latest OEM-annoying trick, Blass has posted high-resolution images of the LG V10, which is supposed to be announced tomorrow. In case you missed it, that's the dual-display phone that's been popping up in recent weeks.

There are two images, with the above showing the entirety of the phone. Along the top is the secondary "ticker" display. It's showing text on the left phone, and on the right it has app icons for the camera, contacts, and so on. The different versions of the ticker in this leak supports the idea that you can customize it to some degree. I'm not sure how it will work as a shortcut launcher, though. It's way up at the top of the phone, which doesn't make it easily accessible. The picture below offers a better look at the ticker.

On the back of the V10 is a larger power button. That's expected to house a fingerprint scanner. Those are the hot new things on phones these days. Haven't you heard? We'll get all the details tomorrow morning at LG's event. The new images do look much nicer than the previous leaks. Hopefully the real device looks alright.

Is this going to be the new LG Pro model?

I don't like the aesthetics at all tbh. It's like a G4 wearing a freaky gimp suit !!!! So much rubber .....

Shortcut buttons on the very top of your device ? When most people grip from the bottom ? Design wise just screams very unergonomic and impractical. We will see soon enough, but design wise it certainly wouldn't make me buy it.

They actually officially announced this phone yesterday evening in whatever timezome that was, which is odd as they still have a press event later today? So what are they going to announce there? The V10 does have some very nice specs though, even if it is still using the SnapDragon 808.

    http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/135...ras-military-grade-protection-and-its-own-dac

Internally the V10 is a lot like the LG G4, but supercharged. They both are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor and feature a 16-megapixel rear camera. They also both have the same, removable 3,000mAh battery.

But the V10 is different from the G4 in that it has 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB. It also ditched the G4's curved display in favour of a flat one. Well, two screens to be specific. There's a 5.7-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel display, and above that you'll see a smaller 160 x 1040 screen that works only when the first is off.

The second screen is "always on" and can display information like weather, time, date, and battery level. It can also be used to quick-launch apps, access contacts, and display notifications. It's basically like Samsung's Edge screen found on the Galaxy S6 Edge+.

Another stand-out feature is its pair of 5-megapixel selfie cameras. One has an 80-degree field of view, while the other has 120.

This interesting two-lens setup allows the V10 to create 3D images, or the images can be combined using a clever algorithm for a wider-angle selfie shot without the ignomity of using a selfie stick.

To complement the unique camera functionality, LG has brought over popular G4 camera software features, and boosted them with full manual controls for video, the ability to shoot video in HD, FHD, and UHD, a 21:9 aspect ratio shooting option, and both optical and electronic image stabilisation.

One of LG's big plays appears to be to content creators, offering control over ISO, frame rate and shutter speed for video capture. The LG V10 also has its own 32-bit DAC onboard.

One of the elements that might propel the V10 towards luxury status will be its build. There's a 316L stainless steel frame that LG is calling Dura Guard, with additional reinforcement around the corners. This is a tough device, achieving MIL-STD-810G Transit Drop Compliant shock resistance.

The LG V10 measures 159.6 x 79.3 x 8.6mm and weighs a hefty 192g, the same as the iPhone 6S Plus. It will come with 64GB of internal storage, accepting expansion up to 2TB via microSD.

We expect LG to announce pricing and release date details at its event. LG has said that it will be launching in Korea, followed by United States, China and key countries in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
