I just received an LG Gram 16" Ultrabook from Costco. Nice machine. It is a 11th Gen i7-1165G7, 16GB Ram (max available. Fine for me but may be an issue for some), 512GB SSD. $1299.
I had considered many systems but wanted a 15.6" or 16". It's a little over 2.5lbs. It's very light. LCD has a 2560x1600 WQXGA display at 16:10. It's another thing I looked for, something higher resolution than FHD. Display is super crisp with some nice color.
As mentioned, 16GB is the max memory.
There is supposedly an AMD option coming in the next few months.
It's very light but pretty rigid. The display has some bend though. I need to teach myself to adjust tilt from the center rather than grabbing the upper right corner.
There is a second M.2 SSD slot (includes screw!). However I had read one post someplace that the owner was told the warranty would be void if opened to install one. Makes no sense, but I wanted to include that "rumor".
Trackpad is pretty well centered on keyboard deck (I HATE the offset trackpads...OCD?). That being said, it has a numeric keypad which shrinks the other keys. I am a hunt and peck typist so I am getting a little used to it. It *may* be a deal breaker for me though.
Fan does not run much so far with just some web surfing, You Tube, about 40 tabs in Chrome. When the fan does run, it's quiet. The system will warm up slightly but not uncomfortable. I use it almost exclusively on my lap, so temp is a thing.
Speakers are down firing and very weak.
I am not a benchmark chaser, so I have no "stats". Those can be found in several reviews. It is a very nice ultrabook with a beautiful display. It has Intel Xe graphics, so editing massive 4K video may not be pleasant. But as a "Swiss army knife" kind of laptop, it works very well.
However, I am keeping an eye out for the Lenovo X1 Extreme Gen 4. I like Lenovo's a lot.
