LG phones are in generally very good
In the past, I had a G6 and apart from the battery which was a bit short (4 hours of SoT) and the lack of Android support, it was very good, very responsive and an amazing camera especially for the time.
IMHO they should have kept the G6 design, increased the screen ration without pushing it up to a notch, update the spec and the battery and it was all good

You're holding it wrong

Haha, good one!

Off topic, but how are LG TV's? I always buy Samsung TV's but I remember reading about the new LG TV's last week on here, and the prices were not bad at all for the size (and I guess features?) you get. $599 for a 55" TV, that is not horrible at all.

Sorry for being off topic, if people start harping about it if you post back, maybe you can DM me.

Thank you!

Apple please mimic a standard camera and put a circular lens bump in the middle device back.
Go a step further to please photographers by putting a lens thread on the bump and making the circle a standard common filter size. I would love the built-in ability to add neutral density filters and circular polarizers.
If you want to raise the iPhone camera game start thinking of it as a camera. Figure out how to rearrange your battery cells.

Drab is the perfect way to describe them. Even the 11 colours feel a bit blah to me. I get that it's seemingly "more professional" but if you're going to offer colours, keep the black and white as options and just go all the way with the rest lol.
My dream is for a 5C style iPhone, but with all-screen design. Same plastic, same colours, same screen size*. Gorgeous those things were.

*in fact I'd go back to the original iPhone's screen size if I could. It's diagonal was basically the length of my thumb, making it perfect. I'd accept less battery life and/or slower processors to make that happen!

Truthfully, I often forgot LG is even a ‘contender’ anymore in the smart phone industry.

They're not a contender. :p

There were 1.4 billion smartphones shipped last year... but only 30 million were from LG. That's just 2% of the market.

LG is still in the Top 10... but in a distant 8th place.

Numbers 1 thru 7 were Samsung, Huawei, Apple, Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, and Lenovo... with combined shipments of 1.13 billion or 76% of the yearly smartphone market from just those seven companies.

It's not looking good for LG.

Cameras going further down the back of the phone seems to make it a tempting thing for your fingers to accidentally block when taking a photo. Looks like a usability issue to me.

At this point pretty much anything would look better than what Apple's got going.

Those aren't raindrops, they are tears, shed by anyone with taste wondering why so many tech companies ignore great designers and hire horrible designers. How is it that so many tech items are so ugly!

I'm curious. I want the V60 but the lower PPI, I want to see it in person. Which means I'll be waiting quite a while to make any decisions.

Guess I could just keep holding out and see what this is about. My G8 is still good, aside from battery life.

This camera design is great. Overall, the phone doesn't look better than my 11 Pro, but there is no doubt for me that the camera design is more aesthetically appealing.

My conclusion here is that no one has yet surpassed Apple in the design department, but damn are some starting to come close. Apple should take this sort of thing seriously since the design of their products being widely considered to be "nicer" than everyone else's is a significant part of their brand appeal.

Some companies surprise me, what can you do to convince some one to buy an LG phone over Samsung or Huwawei?

See, I absolutely couldn't. Anything smaller than a Plus model and I struggle lol.

I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU FATSO!! :p JK!

Seriously though there must be plenty people like me who want one handed phones for smallish hands. I wonder if the real issue is they can't get decent battery life in small models anymore.
