LG UltraFine 5K - Videos to show off your display

    With our new displays it only makes sense to collate a list of awesome content that will help show it off :D please post any awesome footage you find in this thread :)

    it doesn't matter wether it's shot on 8k or 80000k even.. if its on youtube, its maxed out at 4k, and youtube 4k has in general a much lower quality than blu-ray 4k...

    You'll need to use Chrome to get the 4K60p options (for some reason it doesn't/t show in Safari!)

    Wow, you're right. Quicktime didn't turn the fans up at all and ran smooth.
    VLC player had hiccups and fans hit 5000+ rpm. Hope this is something VLC can improve in the future.

    *update*
    I was able to get VLC player playing these videos smoothly and with the same low performance hit (& fan rpm) as Quicktime.

    It appears that VLC isn't using hardware acceleration when set to 'auto'.
    VLC Preferences, Input/Codecs, change the 'Hardware Acceleration' option from 'Auto' to 'Video Decode Acceleration'.

    After doing that VLC plays those 4k videos as well as Quicktime.
