There have always been rumors that the LG UltraFine displays are being discontinued, but it seems like they are gone for good this time, at least in Europe. I have been looking to buy one from Apple for some time and both the 4K and the 5K were marked as "Out of stock". I talked to a specialist in December, and they told me that the displays should be available at the beginning of 2021 again, but today, the product pages were not available anymore. Both displays were still listed in the product overview, but they were both named "not defined" and now, even these listings are gone.

I know that Mark Gurman predicted that Apple is going to make first party displays, but I thought that these would take some time to be ready. Could LG just release new versions of their UltraFines? Strangely, in the US store, both displays are still available. I just hope that Apple sells some display in the near future that has a lower price tag than the XDR, whether it is their new first party display or a new display from LG.

That's a shame.
I've been looking for a suitable 4K monitor for months now and the LG ultrafine was about the only one.

Let's hope someone comes up with a 4K that's not to big and gives good quality colours.
