I want to start using iTunes Match, but I want to be sure that I'm getting everything ready correctly before I turn it on.
My main library is stored on an external drive. I have to plug it in to get my songs onto my iPhone. Sometimes I forget to plug the hard drive in and the tunes I rip are stored in the normal music folder in my user directory along with podcasts and apps that I download. So, I have two libraries.
I would like for all of this to be in the cloud so I can free up some space on my laptop. I've been scanning the forums trying to find an answer but just can't.
1 - If I set my backups to go to iCloud, can I delete all of the apps from my computer and if so, will updates to those apps happen automatically or just when I install them back on my device?
2 - Do I need to move both of my libraries to one place so Match can find everything it can?
3 - Do all of my songs get uploaded or just the ones that are matched?
