When I open and close the lid on my 13" MacBook Pro there is a click noise.

Is this normal?

where on the lid is the click noise? is it on the hinges, the front of the lid, or somewhere inside the computer its self?

The click is coming from the hinges. 🙂

well then does it sound like plastic is catching on its self? cause if that is the case then i would say it is not normal. also look to see if the lid is square with the body and that may give you your answer.

I turned it upside down and on the right side, if you press against the top right corner there is a creaking noise as if it's dis-jointed or loose, the opposite corner is firm and solid.

I think this is what is contributing to the click & creak of the lid movement 🙁

i would say that there is a problem then. the only real remedy is to bring it to apple and have them take a look at it. most likely an easy fix tho.

if you're feeling adventures go to iFixit and you may find a guide on how to fix the problem. i would not however recommend this if you arent good or even excellent in this type of thing!!
