Funny and timely. For the last 1-2 months I've been looking at other people's techniques and thinking, "Damn it, I suck." (Seriously). I now have hope. I think I'll print this and chart my own recovery. 😀😀😀

Well, camera manufacturers spend squillions of dollars every year, on promotion and advertising, to ensure that you stay there. 😛

They don't want you to become a better photographer particularly, but just learn a couple of new tricks now and again, and keep upgrading cameras every six months...

I think of HDR like a narrow country lane. You can drive down it OK, but find it's a dead end and there's nowhere to turn round. So you have to reverse the car all the way back down the lane...

Can someone explain what /p/ means?

Photography board on 4chan (Wiki link). Basically if you post an image there for C&C it will inevitably get shot down.

I wouldn't recommend it unless you are very good at filtering out bad posts.
