First case I had "clicked" a lot worse than this one, that appears to fit properly. Might make sure your corners etc don't look as mine did earlier in thread. I noticed both LifeProofs I have had both had "RevA" on box, leads me to believe they expect more iterations lol. Touchid worked perfectly on both cases I've had so can't comment there. I will say, on first case I had mute switch worked much better and was much more "defined." Eh I decided, for now, proper fitting case more important than mute switch that I rarely use anyways.

FYI BestBuy paying online and picking up in store is a joke. Yesterday I was kind of in a hurry. Paid on app, expected to run in store and pick up. Needless to say, they at the time had the cases stocked on shelf, as I watched numerous people go through normal line and checkout as I waited to pick up merchandise I'd already paid for. Sigh LOL.

looks like ill try a swap then! besides that nice case, just wish it didn't get dirty so easily lol

Picked mine up at best buy today, here are some of my first thoughts.

-Pain in the rear end to install, really tricky to snap it together and since it takes some effort to do that, dust easily gets in while installing, Dust is visible on the screen under protector, rinse repeat until dust is gone.

-Screen protector is atrocious, more rainbows than pots full of gold, and it adds a weird color effect to the screen when on a brighter page usually more visible on a white background.

-Touch ID is decent at best. very intermittent on success.

-Sound quality, not any better than their older cases, seriously.

-Mute switch, mine actually works fine.

-Volume buttons, power button, terrible to press, very stiff and almost no feedback.

-Vibration, almost non existent compared to other cases, very little transfers, which is a problem in a pocket.

-Very light, very thin, slippery, scratches easy, touchscreen responsiveness is not as great.

Overall after all the hype by life proof, I am not impressed at all. Here is to hoping Lunatik Aquatik is better than this.

I picked up one as well at best buy on Monday. My overall opinions-

Case is very thin and light, doesnt add much bulk at all to phone.

Easy to install, and fit around the phone is very tight. Screen protector hugs screen leaving no gapping.

Volume buttons and power button offer some resistance when pressed but do not require excessive force.

Call quality, both incoming and outgoing seem to be much better than previous versions. Sound was clear through ear piece and those on the other end of the coversation did not complain of any echoing or "robot voice"

Speaker and speaker phone cause some distortion of sound. The sound seems to emit from the back of the case rather than the speaker port.

Earphone access is somewhat limited and you must use the adapter with most sets of headphones unless your brand has a very skinny jack.

Charging port is easily accessible BUT most aftermarket chargers will not fit through the provided hole.

Touch ID membrane seems to reduce sensitivity. I had trouble setting up a fingerprint (not at all) with the case on. I had to set it up and then put the case on and even then, there was trouble recognizing the finger.

Cameras appear to maintainn quality. However, when recording video, sound seems muffled when playing video back on computer.

Screen, and probably the biggest deal breaker. While the screen protector does fit very snug against the screen, newton rings (rainbow effect) is very visible with phone screen off. Somewhat visible when screen is on. The biggest complaint would be that the screen protector "grainifies" the screen and adds nano-scale pixelation. The screen resolution is most certainly reduced. Touch sensitivity is affected slightly.

Overall, the case is well built and adds little bulk to the phone for the protection that it offers. IF the screen protector offered better clairity this case would be a daily driver winner, but for some, it may be hard to over-look, even if you aren't that particular about your screen clarity.

i had this on my 5s before and didn't like it. i returned it. i didn't like the screen. made of cheap plastic. for that price you should expect a decent screen. i hope it's different now.

I went to purchase one and did not because 2 of my aftermarket cables wouldn't work with the case on.

I've had mine for around 2-3 weeks now and haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned. The screen protector is flush with the screen--a huge improvement over the 5 case. No sound issues on calls. Sound from video is a little lower but not enough to complain about. A little sound quality is lost when filming video but again not that much. Buttons work fine although mute is a tiny bit stiff(no different from the 5). Touch ID is fine too. All in all I'm very pleased with it. This is my fourth Lifeproof and easily the best.

Lifeproof Fr now at bestbuy!

I guess we all have different standards

I for one have been using a glass screen protector and can clearly see the difference in the screen quality over this cheap plastic screen protector. As fr buttons yes they work fine but no where near the tactile feedback as they should be

I would still say its a good case if you can deal with some of the minor issues it causes.

Even though the screen protector sits flush on the screen, you can't argue that the screen quality isn't degraded. If you look at two iphones next to each other, one with the lifeproof case and one without, there is a staggering difference in screen quality. Enough so, that for me, isn't worth using the case everyday.

Would be nice if companies like lifeproof would develop a completely incased waterproof case that maintained screen quality while still protecting the screen. I know Incipio Atlas did this using a tempered glass screen but the overall design was poor and user touch interaction was degraded. Surely there is a way this type of design can be created and work well.

That's the trouble right there though isn't it? You're gonna give up some quality for waterproofing and when not you're gonna give up screen interaction. Otherwise go for the nüud or dog and bone. Maybe the Aquatik will be the answer. Till then I'm more than satisfied with the Frē.
