Lifeproof Nüüd front with a Fré back ?

Anyone try this? Water test it? Asked Lifeproof's Facebook page and they responded that they are not compatible, but I've seen others say they will fit together, just haven't seen if anyone has water tested this combo.

They fit together. But I haven't checked to see if it affects the integrity of the waterproof part of the case

Lifeproof has advised not to do this as the Fre back is not rigid enough to seal the front properly.

Why didn't they make the Nuud back the same as the Fre, it feels flimsy cheap plastic.

I seem to recall Lifeproof said this was OK, at least with the iPhone 5-only variants of the cases.

I have the nuud front with the Fre back. I've water tested it multiple times and it seems to work well.

Anyone else using that combo?
