I've had over 10 lifeproof cases for my apple products over the years. If there water tested and installed properly they work as advertised. I love theses cases.

That does suck quite a bit. Sorry to hear. I have a LifeProof I put on my phone when I'm at the beach or near a pool but never am brave enough to submerge the phone.

As mentioned, it's a tricky situation. LifeProof wouldn't be able to discern water damage with their case on the phone versus water damage caused by other factors without one of their cases on.

I just think that OCEAN WATER RUIN SHIPS , METAL AND STONE !!

So a plastic case will hold it ???

No way !! maybe it's good against coffee or water drops , but nothing more extreme then that .

Of course I'm talking about going to the beach everyday , if it's for 1-2 times then Lifeproof is great :)

However in this case it's better to buy one of those waterproof bags ..

Besides having to replace the crap-ass life proof case numerous times, just because it starts to fall apart, I had my phone fall into a pool. I thought, hey no worries... NOPE!!! Totally dead- phone doesn't work. I reamed lifeproof a new one on their site and on FB and am singing their faults until they go bankrupt, but all they said to me was that they would send me a new case?!?!?! Are they ***** kidding me?! Why do I want a shotty, piece of flimsy-ass **** that doesn't work. I might as well wrap it in Styrofoam.
