Tried searching for this, but couldn't find any topics related to the 7 or 7+.

I noticed this morning that my current period and lifetime calls were both at 5 hours, 10 minutes.

This is a brand new iPhone 7+, straight from China and delivered on the 16th. I did not restore from backup. Setup as a new phone.

I also noticed my recent calls from my iPhone 6s suddenly appeared in the phone app.

Is this normal behavior? Are the lifetime calls and recent call list stored with your iCloud account?

I also had around 2 hours of calls showing up on the lifetime call counter on my brand new iPhone 7 (set up as a new phone). My wife's new iPhone 7 showed "0" hours.

Well, I did a search and there are weird reports of odd "lifetime call timer" numbers in various threads going back several years. When I set my iPhone 7 up as new, I also had a bunch of REALLY old calls showing up in my "recent" call log (some were from 2014). Again, I set up as new and not from a backup.

I'm not sure where these old calls are coming from, but it just seems like some odd software bug and nothing to worry about.

Mine says 10 hours and 11 minutes and may have used about 10 minutes of it...have used it out if the box and haven't done any restores

When you set up your iCloud account, even if you don't restore a backup, it will restore your call log. When restoring your call log, it will fill out the lifetime call time.

I dont think this is correct being i restored my iphone7 from an icloud backup and my lifetime call time is only 14 minutes

That makes zero sense. But I have 4 examples in my household that prove my 'theory'.

Yeah, it probably has something to do with iCloud, but the odd thing is, my "lifetime" call time was ~2 hours on my new iPhone 7 after signing into iCloud and setting up as a new phone and I had a bunch of random calls showing up under the "recent" call log in the phone app (some were from back in 2014). I have no idea how iCloud would randomly be choosing a random and small group of calls to show in the "recent" call log or to count towards the "lifetime" call timer. Very odd!

I have the exact same thing happened to me... I have than 8 hours on my call time period.
Ive also set it up as a new iPhone and still got my recent calls etc...
