if anything it will help by increasing the exposed surface are of aluminum to radiate heat (not joking). I do this all the time.

If you put the M1 on top of a heater it may get warmer (if it's too cool for you)

It shouldn’t cause much of a problem. It actually might perform better! Now the head could dissipate better. I wouldn’t be concerned at all
