I recently upgraded from an Early 2009 Mac mini to a Late 2009 model. With the Later model turned off in a dark room, I saw a light shining from under the computer. When I picked it up and looked up thru the air vents, I could see a dim greenish light shining slightly to the left of the external LED.. I had never seen this from my Early 2009 Mac mini. I ran various tests, but everything seemed to be working ok.

I posted this on the Apple Mac mini forum, but received no answer.

After an extensive search of the Web, I found the same question posted on the 123Macmini.com web site. The answer was that there were some diagnostic LEDs on the logic board and these could be read for information about the Mac mini.

My question is has anyone with a Late 2009 Mac mini seen this light and should it be turned on?

It's common for motherboards to have LED lights which remain lit when the computer is off.
