Can be used as an extension in addition to being an adapter. Killing 2 birds with 1 stone.

I like it is cleaner at the phones end, also, if you have a case as the otterbox it might not be an option, since the adaptor it self seems too big to use with this case. It is also nice that is works as an extension if you need it.
