Lightning charger IPhone 6

Sometimes when i push the charger in it won't recognise it and I actually have to take it out and in sometimes up to three times.

Is this a common problem with the IPhone 6? Or could it be the cable?

What kind of charger and cable are you using? Both from Apple?

Do you put the phone in your pocket a lot?

Apparently the lightning port is prone to picking up debris and pocket lint. Cleaning it out seems to be the solution that's been mentioned in another thread today. I wouldn't know though as I usually put my phone in my pocket upside down (the port is always 'up') and I've not ever had any issues.
