The Land of Hope and Glory
I'm looking for a DAC to listen to music on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with decent audio quality, but I'm not sure what a good one to buy is. It needs to have a 3.5mm headphone port.

Can anyone suggest a DAC at all?

Fiio BTR5 2021 Apple edition which comes with a lightning to usb c cable.
I currently have a FiiO KA3 DAC hooked up to my Mac Studio and was thinking it would be a good idea to get a cheap £10 Lightning to USB-C adaptor and use that on my iPhone and then buy a better quality desktop DAC which can be used just on the Mac Studio?

Good idea? If so, what is considered a decent desktop DAC in the £150 price range?

Apple’s Lightning to 3.5mm adapter has a built in DAC and is honestly the best option without knowing what headphones you’re using. Always start small then work your way up as you would be surprised what you can get away with and how much audio gear is overhyped.

I currently have the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro 250Ohm headphones, but I was also looking into getting the Beyerdynamics DT 1770 Pro headphones at some point this year.

i have a few of them all for the iphone. my favorite is the tea. it’s small, sounds great and can plug in or connect thru bluetooth. also magsafe compatible.
