So I've been using the bundled adaptor and the sound quality has been okay, I always questioned how soft the cable was and worried it might start to ware internally.

Starting a week or two ago, I would be listening to music and half way through a son, there is a sudden drop in quality in audio signal. I wonder if the adaptor is reverting to some lower decoding if there is a degradation in the digital signal? This never happened when it was new. I know its not the track as I can go back to the start of the song and it is still poor quality where it was fine before it happened. It happens to different songs too.

    Is anyone else getting this?

I don't get it when using my third party bluetooth wireless amp.

This is just a guess. The headphone adapter itself have a DAC inside, digital-to-analog converter, maybe it's not working correctly/defective and could cause that.
