I always use iphoto to download my pictures from my camera. I am starting to take raw images and am trying the 30 day Lightroom 3. The problem is I downloaded all pictures in iphoto. Can I get a raw image out of iphoto into Lightroom 3. It is only showing jpegs available?

    Change The Default

Location, but before you do, and since you are only trying lightroom, it can be a hassle...

Easy way to do it is to open photo stream on light room, and in preferences change that to the import default.

Aperture is what I use at present, and all photo's in all formats go there.

iphoto is pretty limited, but it will certainly handle more than just jpegs. Check the prefs. there too.

In iPhoto, select the photos you want to edit using Lightroom, then select Edit>Export and choose Kind: Original. This will export the RAW files to wherever you want, and then you can import the RAW files into Lightroom.

Of course, you'll have a duplicate of each RAW file you export, but this is probably what you'd want for testing anyways.

    Thank you

I exported them and that works great. I love forums for answers.
