I'm wondering if Adobe (or another company) makes an app that integrates with Lightroom and gives me similar straightforward album feature like iPhoto. I really like Lightroom for importing, editing and general viewing. But with the library getting bigger and bigger, there's no really good way to organize the pictures into albums.
The collections feature soft of works, but it sorts the collections alphabetically, and I just want to be able to sort chronologically, or freely like in iPhoto. Oh and I really don't want to have two separate libraries (one for LR and one for iPhoto).

Any suggestions?

Well I kind of want to stick to Lightroom 🙄 Its iPhoto that I'm looking to replace.

I think Picassa might work. I used it briefly on my PC a while back, but from what I remember, you can make folders where you organize your images, and then have both Lightroom and Picassa access them.

Uhhh... yeah... well I'm using a mac like the vast majority of the people on these forums, so that's kind of challenging 🙄

Shoot! Why did I think that they had made a Mac version... or was that for Linux, and they made a Mac version of Picassa web albums...Yeah, hangovers will do that to you in the mornings...Sorry 😱
