Lightroom & iPhoto share referenced library?

My thought are if i import to lightroom it will duplicate 30GB of photos?

I think the question is... why would you want to keep both around? If you are simply considering upgrading to Lr and getting rid of iPhoto then I would suggest searching this on one of the Adobe Lr support forums. You are not the 1st to upgrade, I'm sure. There may be a way for Lr to pull all the editing changes you've made in iPhoto.
