I've only ever had issues when using the Home app to control my Hue lights. Home only gets the scene correct when I first set it up, but later there will be lights with the wrong color or the occasional wrong light turning on. I've been using the Hue app or Hue switches when I want things to work as expected. I have a couple scenes in Home so Siri can turn the lights on, but I'll understand that they won't be the right color.
