Hi:

I'm considering buying an external USB-2 DVD burner that's Lightscribe-capable, given that it's my understanding printed labels aren't advised due to the high rotational speeds of modern drives, and in the past I had a CD-R getting stuck in my car CD player due to a label peeling after awhile.

Now, I'm aware that running Windows on a Mac (i.e.: Fusion, Parallels, Bootcamp) one could probably run PC software to handle Lightscribe duties, if necessary, and if so I'd like to know the best way to go about that (I'm a casual Mac user, not a professional).

But, if there's good Mac software to handle Lightscribe label burning, then naturally I'd probably rather use that, & I'd like to know if it's out there & what product would be good.

Thanks!

Richard.

LightScribe

I think you will tire of LightScribe very quickly. It takes forever to make disc labels and often if the design is very light you will have to burn it again so all areas of the label are readable. I think anyone who needs a disc labeler for work or who wants outstanding results will choose a more professional labeling method such as a DiscPainter or even one of the really expensive commercial duplicator printers.
