Limera1n doesnt work

Hello,

I downloaded Limera1n to jailbreak my ipod touch 3g update 4.1.

When i tried to jailbreak it, the program on my computer ( from limera1n ) Said 'done' Well, there was no cydia or limerain icon on my ipod.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

Don't be insulted, but just to be absolutely clear, you did a complete power off, with the red slider, and then you see the Apple logo for a while when you turn it on?

Yes, please can you confirm?

The reason I ask is cause when i installed Limera1n, it initially showed up just as a grey box icon.

Are you doing this on a real windows machine, or are you using a virtual machine?

I had this same problem. I thought I had a 3g and did the whole install thing. Said it was done, no icons for Cydia or Limerain. Rebooted, same thing.

Researched it and found out my iPOD Touch was a 2G and not 3G.

If I am not mistaken, Limerain said there is a 2G one coming soon. That's all I know.
