Is it possible for me to disable call and text features on my iPhone but still allow WhatsApp calls and texts over wifi?

The reason I ask is that we're setting up a contact number for a company eCommerce platform and want people to WhatsApp instead of normal calling/texting - we will have separate UK and Irish phones. The UK phone will be based in our Irish office and we don't want massive data charges for us or customers if they were to contact through normal text and phone.

Sounds like you need an iPod Touch. No point in an iPhone when you don't want the 'phone' part of it.

Put the phone in Airplane Mode then turn Wifi back on. Disables all the antenna bar the wifi and basically turns it into an iPod.

Exactly what this user said...just make sure that they never take the phone out of airplane mode or you will be racking up the charges very quickly.

I am confused....you all just use WhatsApp for everything and that's it :)

You can also enable Guided Access for WhatsApp, that way users cannot close WhatsApp unless they have a passcode that you set. (Settings > General > Accessibility)

Texts can be disabled by calling your carrier and asking for text block. Phone block is harder but you can use airplane mode. Problem is that it will also disable cellular data.
