My friend got his kids an iPod recently. The kids often like to pump up the volume on the ear buds, but my friend doesn't want them to hurt their ears. She has to tell them to lower the volume all the time Is there a way to limit the maximum volume on the new iPod nano? I know that in the past the European iPod had a volume limit that had to be hacked out. I guess if there's no Apple-supported parental control limit, there may be a way to hack it in.

Thanks!

There's an option in the Settings menu that allows you to set a passcode-protected volume limit (Settings -> Volume Limit)
