Limiting text messages per month

Is there anyway to set a cap on the number of text messages sent per month by one of my children? She has an iPhone 5 and we're on T-Mobile.

Don't think there's much on the side of iMessage that can be done short of disabling it on the phone so that all messages are just regular text/media messages (and then those can often be controlled through the carrier--T-Mobile in your case--either through some online controls or by contacting them and asking them about it).
