So I just bought a new headset for gaming use with separate mic and sound lines. I bought it quickly and didn't realize it wasn't a usb set and now I realize that the mac pro's line in doesn't provide any power for the mic. I do like the headset and I would like to get it working even if its only in windows. Does anybody have any solution to this? Bootcamp only would be fine as I'm really only using this while gaming. Thanks

Your mic probably requires phantom power. You'd just need a preamp for that. There are lots of cheap options for that. Just go to sweetwater.com or similar and search "mic preamp".
