Wanted to provide an update. I exchanged my iPhone 17 at the Apple Store for a new one. The exact same issue remains on my new iPhone in Safari. Clearly this is a software bug. I'm surprised more people aren't posting about this, given I've now seen it on two iPhone 17s. I will simply live with it, as I have no other choice. (I'd rather not use a 3rd party browser.)

It's not a big issue so it might not cross the complaining threshold for many.

I set my font size in safari to default and the issue seems resolved. Try it.
Ohhh I see. Even bold text ruins the lock screen. Heard of a story where someone can’t elongate their lock screen text on iOS 26 on their iPhone 12 Pro Max as they used bold text. I avoid using that too as it ruins Apple Watch faces as well.

This issue started when i updated to iOS 26 on my iPhone 16 PM and it continued onto my iPhone 17 PM.
Weird how can it pass or transmit these bugs into your new iPhone?

Did you restore it from an iCloud backup that was done when the iPhone 16 pro Max started exhibiting symptoms of the screen lines, or did you do direct transfer?

Try to restore it from an earlier backup if you’re comfortable with resetting and reinstalling iOS on the new iPhone.

I did a direct transfer at the time. In all honesty I don’t care about this issue as much now as to go wiping and restoring from a previous backup. The juice ain’t worth the squeeze for me.

I have had it on two phones now. I’m convinced it has something to do with the Liquid Glass. Also, I wonder if it has to do with the level in photos.

I’m sure they will fix it.

Exactly as restoring from a backup can be a pain if you don’t have enough iCloud storage

Also it is longer and even more riskier
