My friend is coming in to NYC tomorrow morning, and can get to the 5th Ave store at 11 am.

How have the lines been the past few days?

Do you think my friend would be able to get one that day (they stop selling the iphones at 9 PM right)?. I'm assuming the 5th Ave store has tons of phones and that only a long line would prevent you from getting one.

Thanks

From what I hear there are pretty much always lines at the 5th Ave. store. After all, it is NYC.

Last week the lines were as long as seven hours.

The days it rained they were much shorter, however.

How about 11:00PM?? Any chance?
As I recall, 5th Ave stops selling iPhones around 10 or 10:30pm, despite what they say on the website. I stopped by one night around 10:45pm, and the place was still packed even though no iPhones were being sold.

Actually I was there at noon today and the line waiting to get isnside was only 10 ppl outside.

I think it's starting to dwindle but maybe it was just today...

WAIT! The Fifth Ave website has updated since I saw it last. You should call them to confirm as my information is clearly out of date. At the time I went by, which was the week before last, the website said iPhone sales stopped at 11pm.

Again, call them to confirm, and my apologies for the misinformation.

bought mine earlier this week. I waited in line from 4:30p until about 10:00p or so.

They said I think that they stopped activations at 11:30p every night. They closed off the line around 7 or 8p.
