Well I can say that I have installed and ran Ubuntu linux a few years ago on my mac mini without any problem. Linux usually has great driver support for mac computers as well.

For how long did you run it? Did you do something CPU intensive on it?

Anyway... anyon else know anything?

I had Yellowdog Linux on an old iBook for a few years, before I took it apart and transferred the internal components to a new machine. Currently, I boot between Windows, Mac OS, and Ubuntu, with no issue after several months on an Intel MacBook. I also used Debian, but that is through VMWare, so doesn't count.

I found using Compiz and a web design software used a lot of CPU resources, but never more than using Google Chrome or Flash in OS X. Have not experienced any issues with Linux at all, actually.
