I have heard that there are PPC distro's of Linux for use on the Mac's, was just wondering if anyone had used one and what they might recommend. Was purley out of curisoity.. but you never know.

Thanks

You can search for all distrobutions here. Just select PPC under platform.

I use Gentoo. If you've never used linux before, I can't recommend it. If you have used linux, but have never used Gentoo, then you are missing out.

Check out the Ubuntu live cd. It's probably the fastest/easiest way to try Linux on a Mac, plus, you don't actually have to install anything. Some other distros with PPC versions are: Gentoo, Suse, Yellowdog, Debian, etc.

I second Ubuntu. I would strongly recommend that you download the liveCD (it won't affect your system at all).
