Hey everyone,

lately my 2008 MacBook has been acting up. It's been freezing up a lot, my wallpaper doesn't show on my desktop and when I wanted to start it up tomorrow it took over 20 minutes.

At first there was the standard grey apple screen, and after 2 minutes (the usual start up time) i changed into the same screen, but a warmer hue. Where it stayed for over 20 minutes. After 20 minutes it finally arrived at my desktop with my 3 standard open programs (mail, safari, iTunes) being stuck so I had to force shut them.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is it a Lion bug? Could it have to do with my RAM and internal HD which I upgraded to 4gig and 500 gig this summer? Is it a virus?
and most importantly, how do I get it running smoothly again?

combined with all the iOS5 update problems I've had, this i getting quite annoying...
