Lion graphics performance and RAM upgrades

All seems to be going well with the Lion update, but I noticed that Mission Control and Launch Pad seem to be a bit sluggish graphics-wise. I am running Lion on a 2009 C2D Macbook Pro (4GB DDR3, 500 GB 7200 HDD). This particular Macbook Pro model does not have a dedicated GPU. My question is...would upgrading my ram to 8GB help out a far as the graphics performance in Lion goes?

I installed Lion onto a 2.2GHz C2D (Late 2007) MacBook with only 2GB of Ram and have not encountered any sluggishness in Launchpad or Mission Control.
