I don't think you caught the OP's sarcasm.

Do tell, OP – were you being sarcastic or not? Because your points seemed valid. If so, a "/s" should have been appended, for sarcasm is hard to detect on the intertubez.

How is Lion for power users when it requires more resources?

For those that are power users, you don't want an OS that drains more out of your hardware since it can be used for the things that you want.

To clarify: the original posting represented an exaggeration of that which
I believe, rather than the overt exaggerated expression of approval of
something I tacitly do not believe.

As someone who, in some circumstances, might be described by the silly
term "power user", I'm not at all disappointed with Lion. It seems to me
that there are few changes that will adversely affect people like me.

I do have concerns about how well other types of user might adjust.

A zany yet brilliant thread, sir. Some excellent food for thought. I've been so caught up with exploring the nuances of lion that I haven't really given much thought to how much more complex the os might be for lighter users.

As for "power users", it's a comical yet practical distinction. I am a power user, and my experience of lion is shaped by my comparisons of what used to be and what is now. Less savvy people are probably sitting in front of lion and wondering how the hell to do a lot of different things.

I thought natural scrolling was a new security feature. Any rogue who surreptitiously accesses your computer will be so confounded by reversed scrolling, they won't be able to access your sensitive data.
