Lion is so hot, is it?

hello all,

I just upgrade to Lion. My system is Macbook pro 15 inch mid 2010.

However, the temparature is usually between 70" and 80".

Is it normal?

Yes. There are a bunch of topics in the forums today mentioning this. It's likely due to Spotlight indexing, which may take an hour or two. After that, your temperature should go back down to normal.

This concerned me as well, but as stated above, mine went back to normal after an hour or so once Spotlight was done indexing.

The dot in the middle of the icon is gone and when you click on spotlight it no longer tells you it is indexing.
