Lion locks up my 2006 iMac

since i installed lion on my 06 imac the computer will seem too lock up the mouse moves but nothing will work any suggestions

Did you back everything up? (Time Machine? etc?) Try a clean install.

A lot of people were reporting random lock ups with Lion on the Developer side. I haven't tested mine out with Retail as of yet. All seem to be on an array of machines not just one in particular.

Lion is not compatible with an 06 iMac it should not have even installed.

Lion is compatible with the 06 imac if it is the late model with the core 2 duo otherwise apple would not have let it install on the machine
